Our Story
Founded in Kamloops in 2004 with just two roll-off bins, Thompson Valley Disposal has grown into one of Central British Columbia's trusted waste and recycling providers. Today, we operate more than 100 bins, a modern fleet of trucks, and offer a wide range of waste management, transportation, recycling, and environmental services.
In 2022, the company entered a new chapter with new ownership, while remaining locally owned and operated by families who have grown up in the region. As we continue to grow, our commitment remains the same—providing dependable service, building strong community partnerships, and delivering practical waste and recycling solutions our customers can rely on.
What We Value
At Thompson Valley Disposal, we believe waste should be viewed as a resource whenever possible. Our goal is to divert as much material as we can from local landfills by identifying opportunities for recycling, recovery, and beneficial reuse. Through careful sorting and processing, we separate materials such as wood, cardboard, metals, and mixed recyclables to ensure they are directed to the appropriate recycling facilities instead of being disposed of.
Wood waste is repurposed into valuable products such as compost and soil amendments, metals are recycled back into new manufacturing processes, and recyclable materials are recovered to reduce unnecessary landfill use. By maximizing diversion and minimizing waste, we help our customers lower their environmental impact while supporting a more sustainable future for the communities we serve.
